Maybe the best alernative to Samaria gorge, Agia Irini is quite smaller in distance but still unique walk among pine trees cypresses and breathtaking rock walls.

Itinerary

Agia Irini Gorge

Early in the morning you will be picked up from the designated spot of your choice by our collaborator and your trekking guide, you will be transfered at the entrance of the Gorge.

After a small break for coffee and logistic arrangements you will start your hike through the  Gorge. One of the NATURA 2000 protected areas

At the end of the hike our transportation will be waiting for us either for a brief visit to the south sea for a swim or drive us back to the pickup point

At all times our trekking guide will be with you, helping you organise the time in the gorge, giving you interesting informations about the ecosystem and taking care of all the logistics regarding transfers etc.

Route Specifications

Difficulty Level  Medium, all participants must have a good physical condition, This hike should be avoided by persons with medical conditions that are not allowing them to practice any kind of demanding physical activity, conditions such as knee problems heart condtions etc

Best Period: April to October

Distance : 7 km

Hiking time : 4 Hours +stops
